Bar Chambers - The Building

Bar Chambers was built in 1866 originally as a house for William Cooper, public servant. It is constructed of bluestone rubble with restrained stuccoed detail and red brick trim. Various additions and alterations have been made to the building to accommodate its members, library and administrative staff. The building is listed in the City of Adelaide Heritage Plaques Project and is also entered in the Register of the Australian Heritage Commission National Estate.
